Please join us for the Parent Meeting on Thursday, August 27th at Centerville High School Central Auditorium at 7:00 PM
for an hour meeting relaying information about our program, and answer any questions you may have.
This meeting is NOT mandatory, but helpful for new families it answer questions you might have about the soccer season, and to keep our returning families in the loop of what’s going on for the season.
FALL SOCCER –
Our fall season will begin Sept 8th for U5B, practice at 5:30, game at 6:00 PM. Sept 9th is U5G practice at 5:30, game at 6:00 PM, and U3-4 sessions at 5:30 or 6:30.
U6 – U14 begin Sept 12th at their scheduled times. Schedules will be released when teams are given to families.
Centerville Rec Soccer is a completely volunteer operated organization. Our board volunteer their time and efforts to make this program work each season, and we rely heavily on our volunteer coaches. Usually about 80 – 100 coaches every season. If you are considering coaching, please sign-up so we can get teams rostered and released to coaches and families.
All of our games are played at Oak Grove Park on E Social Row Rd. Coaches for U6 and above decide day, time and location of practices.
Fall Season accommodates players in divisions U3 – U14 (U14 through 8th grade only) In the fall players move up in division when they move up in school grade to remain with peers.
The age/school grade for each division is as follows:
U5 – Pre-K or K U10 – 3rd -4th
U6 – Kindergarten U12 – 5th-6th
U7 – 1st U14 – 7th -8th
U8 – 2nd
U3 – U4 is a developmental division, with players in one-hour sessions on Wednesday evening at either 5:30 or 6:30 sessions with trainers in small groups for development and learning soccer fundamentals. There are no coaches in this division. U3 – U4 players receive a shirt, socks and a size 3 ball at the end of the season that they keep as part of their registration. Players need cleats, shin guards and a water bottle for the season, which runs 8 weeks. The dates will be listed on our website under Training once the schedules are posted.
U5 is the only age group that practices half an hour prior to game time, then play their game. U5 have parent coaches for the first time. U5B practice on Tuesday 5:30, play their games at 6:00, U5G practice on Wednesday 5:30, play their games at 6:00.
U6 and above, the coach determines day, time and location of practices, and games are played on Saturdays at Oak Grove Park.
U12 & U14 are co-ed teams that plays games at Oak Grove.
During tournament, we will have a weeknight game for U7 and above as part of the tournament week.
Registation will close August 16th, when there will be a $5 late fee incurred to register until divisions are full.
Adult Soccer League on Sundays at 1:00 PM
Centerville Rec Adult League Fall Soccer season is September 13 – November 1 at Oak Grove Park.
Games are played on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm. We offer a great adult program that allows you to play soccer with your friends and make new friends. You can come on a team with friends or register as a free agent and be placed on a team. Be sure to name your team captain when registering.
