Spring – U3-U14 Program
The Centerville Recreational Soccer League is a community-based recreational soccer league, open to all non-club players, focused on providing a safe and enjoyable environment for each and every participant, and managed by an all-volunteer board and coaching staff. All of our regular games are played at Oak Grove Park on Social Row Road in Centerville.

Our Spring season accommodates players in divisions U3- U14 (through 8th grade only). Spring season is focused more on development for U5 – U14 (while our Fall season is more competitive). Scores and standings are not kept at any level, and each division will be provided with a special training session coordinated by our Technical Trainers, in addition to their weekly games.

U3-4 is a developmental division, where players work with trainers (no coaches) in small groups playing dutch-style soccer to learn basic soccer skills. There are no coaches in this division, only our professional trainers. They play at either 5:30 or 6:30 sessions on Wednesday evening. They need soccer cleats, shin guards, a size 3 soccer ball and water bottle. THERE ARE NO SATURDAY GAMES FOR THIS AGE GROUP.

U5 is the only age group that practices half an hour prior to game time, then play their game. U5 have parent coaches. They play on Tues/Weds evenings depending on boy or girl division. They need soccer cleats, shin guards, size 3 ball and a water bottle.

U6 -U14 team coach determines day, time and location of practices, and games are played on Saturday at Oak Grove Park. We do not track the practice days or locations, and cannot change teams to accommodate practice days. That requires a player from another team to move in order to keep teams even, and is not fair to ask players to leave a team they’re already established with. They need soccer cleats, shin guards, size appropriate ball, and water bottle.

Your child will be automatically placed in a division based on his/her date of birth (our division cutoffs are based on the child’s age as of 7/31). If your child has a summer/early Fall birth date and you would like him/her to play in another division with their classmates, please contact us directly at info@centervillesoccer.com with your request after you’ve registered.

U14 and high school players are NOT permitted to play down from high school to U14, nor up to high school from 8th grade.

Our season will start with practices in late-March, with games starting in April (games are played on Saturdays) and ending in early June. Note: Start dates are contingent on having enough volunteer coaches in place for any given division, as well as the parks schedule.

Spring soccer program is open to Rec players of any skill level, but is NOT open to any child carded and playing club/select or high school soccer for any team.

Please note that it is our policy that special requests for specific coaches or teammates will NOT be honored. Our teams are assigned via random draws. The only way to ensure that 2 players are on the same team is for the parents of those children to coach together. Siblings playing in the same division will be assigned to the same team only upon request.

Registration fees include a jersey and socks, referee fees and OSYSA membership fees and fees to the CWPD.

NOTE: There will be a $15 charge for all non-resident of Centerville/Washington Township residents. This is CPWD policy, and is paid directly to them.

Spring – High School Program
Our High School Coed recreational soccer program is designed to provide an opportunity for young adults in grades 9 – 12 to play and enjoy the game of soccer in a safe, healthy, and social environment. Players are NOT allowed to play up from middle school into this division because of safety and liability. Nor are players allowed to play down into U14 from high school. This program IS NOT open to any child who is participating in an organized competitive (select), club soccer program or playing for a high school soccer team. Games are played on Sunday afternoons at Oak Grove Park.

Players can coordinate with their friends to create their own coed teams, or register individually to be assigned to a team at random. To create a team, designate a coach and team captain and have each player register to play, and name the coach or team captain in their registration. We cannot guarantee that all players will be on the team they requested, because we have to maintain boy/girl ratios per league rules.

Use of excessive force, foul language, bullying or deliberately trying to inflict harm on anyone is grounds for removal from play, up to ejection from the program. We will not tolerate unwelcome behavior or language; the object is to have fun playing soccer with your friends.

It is up to the referees discretion to issue yellow or red cards, or eject players or spectators for inappropriate behavior or language. At no time is cussing at a referee going to be tolerated.

NOTE: There will be a $15 charge for all non-resident of Centerville/Washington Township residents. This is CPWD policy.
